Oaty Snickers Slice Recipe

WHAT TO DO:

Process 1 cup of the oats in a food processor or blender for a few seconds, leave the other ½ cup whole for some texture

Gently melt together the peanut butter, coconut oil, maple syrup and salt

Here’s where it gets crazy, mix the oats into the wet ingredients. Mix it good

Press the base mixture into your fave lined/greased dish or tin, square is better for squares specifically, but it doesn’t matter. Approx. 20-24cm is ideal.

Pop the base in the fridge to set (go for the freezer if you’re in a hurry)

Melt the chocolate, then stir in the coconut oil and vanilla

Pour the choc mix onto the base – bet ya didn’t see that coming. Pop your dish back into the fridge and leave to set, overnight is best

Once set, slice ‘er up and enjoy!

JAZZ IT UP:

You can add all sorts of things to this! In the base try adding shredded coconut, dried fruit or sneak in some goodness such as LSA or ground flax seed.

Pretty up the top with anything from salt flakes, freeze dried berries or peanuts

These can also be made in muffin liners – perfect for shared lunches!

Or stir in choc chips (or whatever you like) and skip the topping for easy muesli bars
